What is new in INDB 2.5
INDB has been rebuilt from the ground up on a database, so pages open fast and every number can be checked.
Faster, and always up to date
INDB 2.0 sent every visitor one very large page. Now each page loads only what it shows, new stories arrive every few minutes, and the archive keeps everything.
Every story, from every side
- Each card is one story: the lead article, the other outlets covering it, the coverage bar, the badges and the breakdown, as before.
- Full coverage pages list every article by leaning, with a summary, a timeline, and where the coverage comes from.
- Blind spots, editions for 12 regions, local news, videos and an archive you can search by date.
Scores you can check
Every rating shows who gave it. Every score has a How we score page with the exact rule. Outlets nobody has rated are shown as not rated instead of getting a made-up number. How we score
Better tools
Narrative Imbalance, the Coverage Heat Map, the Misinfo Radar with fact-checks, the Amplification Detector, Compare Sources, the Influence Map and a new Story Timeline, all running on the full database. Tools
