You can read INDB without an account. We keep as little about you as we can.

Without an account

• Cookies: your edition, language and light or dark setting, if you change them. Nothing else.
• Server logs keep the page you asked for and the time for 14 days, to fix problems and stop abuse. We count page views per day without storing who viewed them.
• INDB is served through Cloudflare, which handles the connection and protects the site from attacks.

With a NEMICO account

• Signing in shares your NEMICO user id, username, display name and avatar with INDB. INDB never sees your password.
• We store what you choose to save or follow, and your feed settings.
• Reading history is off unless you turn on the news diet. You can see it, switch it off and delete it on your account page at any time.
• Actions on INDB can earn XP on your NEMICO profile. Only the kind of action and the story id are sent.

Email, alerts and payments

• The weekly brief is sent through Brevo to the address you give. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
• Browser alerts go through your browser's own push service. Turn them off in your account or browser settings.
• INDB Plus payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card number.

Advertising

When ads are on, they are served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies to choose ads. INDB Plus members see no ads. Signed-in members can turn off personalised ads.

Your choices

You can download or delete everything INDB holds about you from your account page. Deleting removes it within 24 hours. Contact us
